Thank you to who made Day of Service 2019 Successful!

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the Students, Parents, and Teachers who volunteered their time this year.

The RBHS PTO Day of Service is a signature event for our high school and the most publicly visible demonstration of our students giving back to the community which supports them. This event takes lots of time, money, and hard work to pull off, and we owe a debt of gratitude to a lot of people for making the 2019 Day of Service a huge success. In particular, we would like to highlight our project site leaders who coordinated all of our work sites:

  • Joel Hatje, RBHS
  • Tim Kutt, North Riverside DPW
  • Roy Lehto, Brookfield Beautification Commission
  • Don Parker, Brookfield Conservation Commission
  • Ed Bailey and Mike Collins, Riverside DPW
  • Salt Creek Watershed Network
  • Cook County Forest Preserve

We are incredibly grateful to the businesses and organizations which so generously donate their time, money, and goods to help make this annual event a successful one. As a thank you for all they do for the RB community, we would like to encourage everyone to shop locally and support the business who have so generously supported our students and our community. Please click each link below to see the list of our sponsors at that level.

Your Help is Needed at the Street Dance!

The Street Dance is one of the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce’s largest events, and as you can imagine, it takes a village – Or about 50-60 volunteers, specifically.

What better way for students and parents to thank the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce for their generous support of the RB Community then by volunteering some of your time to help out with this year’s event taking place on Saturday, May 18th from 5pm to 11pm.

The volunteer opportunities range from helping out at the welcome tent to adult beverage/ticket sales and clean up. This is a family-friendly event with music and beverages for the adults as well as plenty of entertainment – a balloon artist, face painter, juggler, etc. – for the kids. They are looking primarily for adult volunteers but responsible students are encouraged to sign up as well. Please see attached below the current signup listing, find something you can help with and then email Brian Sharenow to sign up at BSHARENOW@FMGEVENTS.COM

Thank you in advance for offering to be a part of the fun and helping to make this event a great one.
