MLK Donation Deadline Extended to January 18th!

We will be collecting donations for the Martin Luther King Day of Service that will be held on January 21, 2019 this year through Friday, January 18.

Please help us reach our goal of  Building 150 Basic Survival Kits to help the Homeless with the students from National Honor Society (NHS).

We are seeking Donations of the following items:

  • New adult sized gloves, hats, socks, hand/foot warmers
  • Soap, toothpaste/toothbrush, deodorant, shampoo/conditioner
  • Hand lotion, lip balm
  • Small bottles of water
  • Non-perishable food items: fruit/granola bars, hard candy, nuts, fruit cups

If you prefer, Tax deductible Monetary Donations can be made via PayPal through Friday and funds will be used to purchase survival kit items on Saturday, January 19th.

Items can be dropped off at RBHS, local grade and middle schools and the following local organizations:  Riverside Library, Brookfield Library, North Riverside Commons with designated MLK Day of Service Donation Boxes through January 18

This month’s agenda includes important planning information for upcoming events such as the MLK Service Project (1/21),  Staff Appreciation Luncheon (2/5) as well as a review of our membership and fundraising events. As always, Kristen Smetana will be there to update us on goings on at the school as well as answer questions.

PTO Giving Tree – Our virtual Giving Tree is still available for you to make donations to a specific PTO sponsored event – Prom Tickets, MLK Service Project, Day of Service, Summer Academic Leadership Grants, Teacher and Staff Grants.

Amazon Smile – In the event that you are shopping the post holiday sales on-line, don’t forget to use Amazon Smile! When you choose to support  Riverside Brookfield High School PTO on Amazon Smile, a portion of your purchase will be sent to us to support our philanthropic endeavors!

PTO Membership – If you have not yet joined the PTO for the 2018-2019 school year, it is not too late. You can join today on-line!

PTO Directories – If you joined the PTO but have not yet picked up your directory, please have your child stop by the RB Office to pick-up your directory on Monday, January 7 when the kids return to school.
