Reserve your Spot for Screenagers!

In conjunction with the PTO, RBHS will provide a free viewing of SCREENAGERS to any parent or community member within the surrounding area.

Freshman and Sophomore students will view the documentary during the day, however all students are encouraged to attend the evening screening.

Light refreshments will be available at no charge in the Cafeteria following the documentary. There is no charge for this event however ticket reservations utilizing the following link are mandatory.

A talk-back session directed by RBHS Assistant Principals Dave Mannon and Kylie Lindquist will be held for approximately 30 minutes following the movie. We look forward to a very engaging and thought provoking evening surrounding the growing epidemic of social media and screen time within our youth.

Parenting/Education Resource Fair, Saturday, March 21, 2015

A “Parenting/Educational Resource Fair” will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2015, 9:30 am -12:30 pm at Riverside Village Town Hall. This free event is co-sponsored by Riverside Area Inclusion Network (“RAIN”) and Community Support Services. Under one roof, families and educators will have the opportunity to meet with many local agencies and organizations that provide services, support, education, and networking for parents and educators. There will be keynote presentations on Executive Functioning Skills and Meditation/Mindfulness. See the attached flyer for more information.

Feed Our Community Day – Service Hours Opportunity

Is your student looking for service hours? Do you want to make a difference in a child’s life? If so, please join the Outreach organization at the Village of North Riverside Commons on Saturday, October 18, 2014 for an opportunity to package nutritious meals for Chicagoland hungry children and their families. Book Donations Needed

Girl Scout Troop 657 Silver Project – Request for book donations for ages 3-14. This community service project is designed to increase reading skill and the love of reading through the availability of books at Corkery Elementary School in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. The goal is to donate 1,000 books to each grade. Donations can be dropped off at all District 208 town libraries or contact Cathy Louthen for pick up: or

Victory for Vincent October 6

Vincent Grigoletti is in 8th grade at Hauser Jr. High. He has two brothers at RB. Vincent has recurrent medulloblastoma, a type of brain cancer. On Sunday, October 6, there will be a community event in support of Vincent and the Grigoletti family. Help Vincent and his family to cover costs from his 3-year fight against cancer. Vincent has made many trips to area hospitals, and has many medical costs beyond insurance coverage. Plan to attend the benefit at Kiwani’s Park in Brookfield, on October 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will be a raffle, games, food, and more.
